We are looking for a VDC Process Control Engineer to support and enhance a range of process control systems and applications in our Aluminium casting facilities, based at our NZ Smelting Operation at Tiwai Point. Working Monday to Friday and reporting to the Technical Superintendent, Casting you will be : Working with teams to optimise process control strategy and product attributes; Controlling input and response parameters, monitoring key measures, troubleshooting, working with, and coaching our production teams; Passionate about product development and continuous improvement; Capable of managing projects to successful outcomes to deliver the best results for NZAS. What you will bring A high commitment to the safety of yourself and your team; A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Science or Mathematics or similar; or relevant experience in a technically focused industrial technical role; Proven ability to analyse data using statistical tools to identify changes in the process and product; Excellent communication skills and an ability to quickly create and maintain good working relationships at all levels; Competency in planning and managing technical development projects; Basic SCADA and PLC understanding would be beneficial; Six Sigma qualifications are also desirable.
