Vacant Property Manager Use your expertise to deliver safe and well-maintained homes!Exciting new opportunity covering the lovely Nelson, Marlborough and West Coast region.Fixed term/Secondment until June 2025 with the potential to extend, at $95,227 (pro rata).In this exciting new opportunity to become the first Vacant Property Manager in our Nelson Assets and Maintenance team, you will be responsible for overall management of repairs of vacant properties so they can be re-let within specified time frames. You'll be based in our Nelson office, however occasional overnight travel will be required in this role as you'll be supporting the wider Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast region.Operating within a close-knit team built on a high level of trust, you will be self-managing, reliable and personable. Your expertise in the building and trades industry will support you to succeed as you work alongside relevant tenancy management, asset management, maintenance delivery, placement teams and Maintenance Partner contractors to ensure that properties requiring vacant repairs will be available for re-letting.If you have prior experience in the building industry and a strong understanding of trades, then we would love to hear from you.Here's what we'd love for you to bring to the role:Proven experience in maintenance management or property management.Strong relationship management skills.Experience of building maintenance for complexes and houses.Experience in managing effective relationships with contractors.Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.Nou te rourou - What's in it for you?We offer competitive salaries, five weeks' annual leave, and flexible working arrangements.As a Kainga Ora - Homes and Communities employee, we want to make sure that you have all the tools and support you need.
