Utilities Process Operator

Location: Pokeno.

Hours of Work: 6am – 6pm, 4 days on and 4 days off.

Salary: Up to $40 p/hr.

About The Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Utilities Process Operator to join the team.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining all site-wide utilities, including potable water, demin water, compressed air, chillers, steam, wastewater, and chemical handling systems. You'll work closely with engineers to ensure the efficient operation of utilities equipment and maintain compliance with legal and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate potable and demineralized water plants and perform water testing.
Manage wastewater and emissions in line with compliance requirements.
Monitor boilers, air compressors, chillers, and chemical dosing systems.
Conduct first-level diagnostics and fault finding for utility equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of utilities areas and perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
Assist in the training of new team members on utilities operations.
Adhere to health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment.

About You:
NCEA Level 2 or equivalent education.
Experience in production, site utilities, or FMCG environments preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Forklift license and Certified Chemical Handling Certificate.
Knowledge of water management and wastewater systems, with a focus on compliance.
