Details of the offer

Small Sprouts is a close-knit, locally owned and operated early learning centre in the Whangaparaoa area. We are looking for an unregistered kaiako (but experienced) to bring their passion, knowledge, and support to our team.
Our team at Small Sprouts embraces Te Whariki , whilst weaving elements of both the RIE approach and Reggio Emilia principles.
About the role We are looking for someone who can work Monday to Friday, 9am–3pm (30 hours per week), with the potential for the hours to increase in the future (if desired). We value a work/life balance for our teachers and believe that the safety and wellbeing of our tamariki and pepe is of utmost importance; hence, we carry a higher than required ratio of teachers to ensure this.
We are looking for someone who: Has a warm and friendly nature
Has great attention to detail with care routines (e.g., bottles, nappies, toileting, meal-times)
Can work in both under & over 2 areas
Can be flexible and adaptable in their approach and needs of children
Has a strong work ethic
Can be a team player with a strong sense of initiative in meeting goals and embracing change
Has a sense of humour
Any experience with Te reo Maori would be beneficial.
We will provide you: Discounted childcare
A caring and supportive team
Excellent teacher to tamariki/pepe ratios
A work/life balance to get all work done in work time
Resources and tools to create exciting activities.
If this sounds like you, we would love to meet you. Please apply online today and we will be in touch.
