About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical leadership team as a Unit Coordinator for the Rest Home (Edinburgh) Unit at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village, located in Invercargill. The role includes working Sunday to Thursday, 0800 - 1630 with a shared on-call component.
As the Rest home Unit Coordinator, you will use your nursing and people skills to:

Provide leadership, coaching, and support to your team, ensuring care is always "good enough for mum and dad"
Foster the Ryman culture which promotes a safe and enjoyable work experience for your team
Ensure all care is continuously assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated to meet the needs of each resident within the rest home Unit
Actively engage with resident's families/whanau, visitors, Allied Health Professionals, and District Health Boards, creating lasting relationships
Ensure your team embrace a range of beliefs, ethnicities, gender, sexuality, and principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Perform and support your nursing team to conduct interRAI assessments
Intermittently provide additional time outside rostered hours to attend events, support team members or residents and families as needed
Dedicate quality time with your team, including flexibility of rostered hours on different shifts to connect with all team members within the unit
Communicate effectively and efficiently with your team that promotes respect and trust
Participate as a positive and trusting member of a team that works together as one
Provide support to your Clinical Manager and Village Manager

About You
To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:

A current APC (annual practising certificate)
interRAI training or willingness to gain competency
Extensive experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Nursing Leader
The ability to lead, share knowledge and motivate your team
Kindness, compassion, and drive, to deliver exceptional care to our residents
Flexibility to share responsibilities of the on-call component with other Unit Coordinators as per a roster coordinated by the Village Manager
