About this position:
This is a great opportunity to join our Radiology department here at Nelson Hospital where we offer a comprehensive diagnostic radiology service including: General Radiography, CT Scanning, Ultrasound and MRI. Shifts will be rostered primarily Monday to Friday; however, there may be a requirement to assist in the CT roster outside of these days to meet service demand.
You will manage the daily activities of the CT Scanning Unit consisting of two Siemens XCeed scanners installed in Dec 2023 and Feb 2024, along with providing a safe and efficient radiology service.
The salary range for this full-time position is $114,000 - $119,000 based on the current NZ APEX MECA, dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ.

You will have current registration with the NZMRT Board and hold a current APC. You will be the type of person who leads by example and is held in high regard by your peers.
We are looking for candidates with:
Advanced knowledge of all aspects of CT scanning.
Good understanding of workflows, with an active interest in quality improvement.
The ability to problem solve and address, or assess technical issues.
Great communication skills and empathy.
The passion to deliver high-quality healthcare.
Proven ability to lead a team and create effective working relationships.
The flexibility to work weekends should it be required to meet service needs.
Be flexible to work during CT outages.
Preferred, but not essential:
Postgraduate qualification with a CT focus.
Experience and knowledge of Siemens CT scanners.
Experience in CT Coronary Artery examinations.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
