* Security role with daytime hours (7.30am to 3.30pm) * 5 weeks annual leave, competitive superannuation and other excellent benefits * Friendly and welcoming team environment Nga korero mo te turanga - About the role You will enjoy being busy and active as you coordinate and oversee the day-to-day security operations to ensure everyone who visits our campus is provided with a safe and secure environment.
No two days are the same as you could be monitoring security activities and systems or responding to incidents to safeguard people or property.
Your ability to remain calm in a high-pressure situation will be essential while you confidently communication with individuals from diverse backgrounds to achieve safe and secure environment.
Salary will be in the range of $69,199 to $82,228 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), from 7:30am to 3:30pm daily based on our Hillcrest Campus.

Who are you?
You will have NCEA Level 2 (or equivalent) or a recognised industry qualification in security or emergency management.
It is essential that you have a strong customer orientated approach and enjoy engaging with people from a range of backgrounds.
In addition to your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will have: * a current and clean Class one drivers licence * at least three years experience in the security industry * Certificate and understanding of health and safety requirements * previous experience working within a control room operating multiple systems * good computer literacy skills and able to use these effectively in the workplace, particularly email and word processing applications.

The Unisafe Operations Coordinator oversees and coordinates the Universitys security operations on a day-to-day basis, ensuring a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitor.
This role involves coordinating security activities, monitoring systems and responding to incidents to safeguard people, property and information.
The Unisafe Operations Coordinator is responsible for maintaining high standards of security practice, facilitating communication between departments and ensuring that all security operations are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures.
