You will support the team in their work while also having the ability to 'get your hands dirty' and lead from the front when required. You will assist the CTO in reviewing the tools and technologies that your team use, to ensure currency and feed into the Technology roadmap for prioritising upgrades. In addition to mentoring and supporting your team's professional development, you will also keep up to speed with our various projects - assisting with scoping, estimation, delivery, and troubleshooting issues/incidents as required. You will lead our UI/UX Community of Practice, regularly facilitating knowledge sharing sessions and showcases with the wider technology teams.Ideally you will:Have the ability to work within Agile development environments, especially Kanban, Scrum and Lean methodologiesBe passionate about both design and front-end development with a track record in deliveryHave great people skills and be a natural leaderBe a strong and effective communicator with excellent problem-solving skillsHave exceptional time management and prioritisation skillsAnd you also need to have:At least 2 years' proven people leadership experienceConfidence and experience in mentoring others in UI/UX techniques and practicesSolid design experience in both web and printExperience in building and utilising modern RESTful APIsKnowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum and/or KanbanA growth mindsetBonus points for experience with the following technologies:Web and Mobile Client DevelopmentREACTCapacitorWe are a fantastic group of people to work alongside.
