Requirements Experience with ArduPilot and Mission Planner using Fixed Wing Aircraft Experience to include hobbyist fixed wing RC and/or other UAS experience Must be able to operate IFR, read and interpret sectional charts, airspace hazards, topography, airport data, and operate in controlled airspace Must be able to communicate with ATC operations and air-to-air coordination with other aircraft and other airspace management agencies Qualifications Must be FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certified, or able to obtain certification Must be Amateur Radio Technician Licensed, or able to obtain certification Tasks Pilot in Command Mission planning UAS launch & recovery Perform pre-flight, in flight, and post flight checks Perform UAS maintenance Maintain UAS logbooks Manage radio network to support UAS operations (Silvus, TrellisWare, etc) Assist with site assessments and inform teams about possible use of UAS Coordinate with national and international intelligence agencies Develop data sharing capability, trend analysis and procedures Plan, coordinate, and act as safety officer for flight operations Provide comprehensive technical post flight analysis and log file analysis Responsibilities Be available to deploy OCONUS for 3-12 months periods, rotating with other team members. Primary AOR is CENTCOM.
