K1000ULE Maintenance Engineer TechnicianPosition will serve as a K1000ULE UAS Maintenance Technician in support of sustainment operations. Duties will include maintenance, payload operations, communications network troubleshooting & repair, aircraft repair & overhaul, training, and logistical tasks in support of the K1000ULE UAS. Additional duties will include emplacement, displacement, inspection, disposition, repair, and replenishment of associated equipment, as well as proper notation of logbooks, flight records, and phase maintenance activities. Perform as a Subject Matter Expert for operator and maintenance related issues. Participate in site surveys and demos for customers. Provide technical and operational expertise for communication device hardware and software development, testing, and utilization. Interface with hardware, software, and human systems integration engineering personnel to support product improvement. Develop and present formal training courses and materials. Conduct training task analysis. Assure that uniform and efficient training and publications processes are applied on assigned programs. Evaluate training methods and recommend changes/improvements to ensure efficient and effective qualification of students. Primary duties could possibly require travel (up to 45 day deployments), both domestically and internationally including deployments and training exercises.ResponsibilitiesOperational support of K100ULE Group II UASPerform as maintenance technician, sensor operator, integration specialist, composite technician, and/or maintainer/crew chiefTravel and deploy worldwide as requiredDirect interface with customerWork in groups or independently with minimal or no supervisionWill be required to work odd shifts, weekends, and/or extended hoursSupport PIC with data management and exploitation report generationProvides general logistics functionsTroubleshoot technical problems and issues and determines technical solutionsPreferred Candidate Will HaveFour or more years of related experience.Related technical training is desired.Significant aviation maintenance experience from one or multiple platforms with core competencies in avionics, communications, and navigation.Candidate must be able to perform the duties of maintenance engineer, sensor operator, and launch and recovery specialist safely and effectively without supervision, including flight and ground equipment setup/maintenance as well as logs and records. Ability to coordinate flight schedules, airspace, resources, frequency management, and other aspects of flight operations.
