Do you want all young people to be better prepared when making decisions around their wellbeing?Tuturu is a uniquely Aotearoa New Zealand approach, our focus extends beyond addressing immediate health concerns - we strive to cultivate critical thinking and resilience, empowering young people to navigate challenges related to health in the modern world. We also aim to empower schools to address their students' inevitable encounters with health concerns, including alcohol and drugs, by co-creating and implementing health-focused procedures and policies.You will work collaboratively to support secondary schools to identify their unique needs and develop a whole school approach. This includes facilitating and delivering professional learning and development to school staff and the wider community. You will encourage schools to identify issues earlier and be a key driver in supporting schools to be collaborative, connect with youth services, health services and whanau.You will be part of a team of Tuturu leads located throughout Aotearoa and will work closely alongside school staff and local mental health, AoD services in the Wellington region.The ideal applicant will have:At least 3-5 years' relevant work experience gained in a public health, community development, educational and/or other relevant health settingA secondment would be considered as this is a 6-month fixed term positionExisting understanding of and connections with mental health and addictions servicesUnderstanding of and interest in Tuturu/whole school approachExperience or knowledge of education, youth mental health and/or addiction sectorAble to establish and maintain effective relationships and networks with a wide range of stakeholdersThe ability to work both autonomously, within a team and have the ability to work outside of normal office hoursStrong presentation and facilitation skillsThe ability to build and maintain networksYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?Do you have a current New Zealand driver's licence?
