Te Kunenga ki Purehuroa Massey University's Te Tumu Whakatipu offers university preparation courses and programmes for learners transitioning to degree studies. We have an Aotearoa-wide focus with a physical presence on the Pukeahu, Turitea, and Oteha campuses where we offer courses alongside our online delivery.

We have TWO permanent full-time appointments at Tutor/Senior Tutor level which can be located on any three of our campuses with preferred locations being Auckland and Wellington.

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Opportunities exist for passionate and enthusiastic kaiako who have a proven background in supporting akonga. We are looking for an experienced and successful kaiako to teach courses in our Foundation Pathway Programmes including our Foundation Maori Culture course. The ideal teacher will be a Te Tiriti-practitioner who has an understanding of senior secondary school and foundation-level education in Aotearoa as well as an interest in curriculum development, promoting and sustaining success, and e-learning. Furthermore, this role would provide manaaki-led advice, based on appropriate tikanga and pedagogical approaches, for staff involved in the delivery of our pathway programmes.

Salary Band:
Tutor - $62,495 - $82,117 based on skills and experience.
Senior Tutor - $78,808 - $97,994 based on skills and experience.
