About the Role As a Trust Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing trust accounts, ensuring compliance with legal and financial regulations. Key responsibilities include:
Managing and reconciling trust accounts in accordance with New Zealand legal requirements. Preparing financial statements and reports for trust accounts. Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and financial regulations. Liaising with clients, lawyers, and financial institutions to manage trust funds effectively. Providing advice and support on trust accounting matters. This role requires a deep understanding of the New Zealand legal system and the specific requirements of trust accounting. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
About You The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in trust accounting. Strong knowledge of the New Zealand legal system and trust accounting principles. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A proactive and professional approach to work.
