Trust Account Assistant

Details of the offer

We are looking for a new full-time trust account administrator to join our busy team. The successful candidate will assist in the management of our trust and office accounts and general accounts administration.
What will the role involve?
Carrying out bank reconciliations for our trust and office accounts
Trust account compliance
Processing receipts and payments from clients and other parties (both domestic and international)
Management of creditors
End of month financial reporting (trust account and office account) to Practice Manager/Partners
Preparing monthly statements to debtors
Cash flow forecasting
Who are we looking for?
At Sharp Tudhope we pride ourselves on our values of quality, integrity, responsiveness and teamwork and we are looking for someone whose interactions and delivery of work are consistent with these values.
This is one of two trust account administrator roles in our firm so we're looking for a friendly person who is happy working closely with other team members, as well as the firm's Partners.
Ideally you will have worked in a trust accounting role in a law firm for a minimum of 3 years and had experience preparing financial reporting for the partnership. However, if you have had banking or accounting experience, we would also like to hear from you.
You'll be familiar with all relevant compliance obligations and competent with the Microsoft suite of software (Word, Outlook) and an intermediate to advanced user of Excel. Ideally you will have worked with a legal practice management system before, but training will be provided. Xero experience preferred, but not essential.
You'll also be very organised, attentive to detail, able to work to deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
