The company is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Truck and Trailer Driver to join the team. The Role : As a Truck and Trailer Driver, you will be responsible for delivering logs after picking them up and checking the loads for accuracy. You will carry loads across the necessary route in a safe and timely manner. Safely operate a Class 5 vehicle, respecting all New Zealand Road laws. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's safety and compliance. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Load and unload logs from depot to client, ensuring that all legal requirements are met (e.g., tire weights). Follow safe handling methods to prevent injuries and damage to the product. Treat vehicles respectfully, keeping them clean. Report any concerns with vehicles immediately; inspect the truck for mechanical items and safety issues; perform preventative maintenance before and after trips; and submit a report indicating the truck's condition. Log all deliveries with the correct documentation and report any damage occurring during loading, transit, or unloading of the product. Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and clients to ensure efficient deliveries. About You : 2 to 3 years minimum experience. A clean Class 5 Driver License. Knowledge in driving European & Japanese trucks. Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects as necessary.
