Description Kumar Holdings & Associates Limited is a 100% Waikato-owned and operated business. We have positions opening for truck drivers of class 5 to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the operation manager, Director and other team members. As a class 5 truck driver at Kumar Holding & Associates, you will mainly carry out the following duties. Carefully maneuver vehicles into position for loading and unloading Use lifting and tipping devices to assist with the loading and unloading of vehiclesVerify loading documents including weighing before and after loading of goodsMake regular quality checks of vehicles at routine intervals to ensure they can be driven safelyCheck the condition of the load, search for any faults and ensure that the truck is properly securedCollect and verify delivery instructions and plan routes to meet delivery schedulesPick up goods and make deliveries accurately and on timeReport defects, accidents or violations – accurate and prompt communication Maintain an accurate and complete record of documents including logbook, fuel card etcYou will be required to work from Sunday to Friday from 1 am to 6:50 am with Saturday offYou may also be required to undertake metro or line haul and floating duties with no set run and may involve long-distance travel with nights away from home and an early start. To be successful in this position, you must be physically fithold a Class 5 Full New Zealand Driver's License with dangerous goods endorsement and with clean recordshave at least 3 years of truck driving experiencehold a fork-lift license with OSH endorsement or prepared to obtain oneprepare to undergo and clear pre-employment drug and alcohol screening Please note as this role is for full-time hours, it will not suit anyone on a student visa or anyone looking for part-time casual employment.
