Truck Driver

We are looking for Full time Truck Drivers for Log Haulage service in Napier region. We need someone who is willing to commit to our company and is prepared to take the responsibility. You will be required to work between 30 to 50 hours from Monday-Sunday as per roaster. Job responsibilities · Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly. · Driving within speed limit of 90km/h and wear seat belt while driving. · Complete a daily truck logbook and submit reports of mileage and retain fuel/toll receipts. · Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. · Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations and Break Periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. · Maneuverer trucks into loading and unloading positions. · Maintain a current clean Driver's License while driving a company vehicle. · The individual will be expected to have a standard of fitness sufficient to enable him to carry out all the above duties. · Report serious mechanical problems to the manager. · Possess a calm, friendly, team player attitude. · Taking full responsibility of unit while on duty · Responsible for cleaning of your Truck For this role, a successful driver should have. ü Clean Driving history with Valid Class 5 Driver Licence ü Have at least 3 years of work experience in driving role. ü Manual gear box knowledge. ü Must be physical fit. ü Knowledge of emergency procedures and how to handle hazard conditions. ü A sound understanding of Health and Safety along with the logbook requirements. ü You should carry out routine checks of your truck. ü We may ask you to work on weekends. ü Able to work on early morning shifts. ü A positive attitude and a great work ethic ü Clean Character Background Salary can be negotiated as per your proven experience level; it will range from $30 per hour to $32 per hour in addition to night allowance.
