Expressions of Interest – Truck Driver Class 2
Easy Bins is 100% Southland owned and operated and has a fleet of over a dozen trucks - all locally operated. No one day is the same for our team; drivers can start the workday in a Gantry truck and then move to a Hook truck, a Wheelie bin truck or a Mini skip truck, so each day is never the same.
About the role/s
Delivery of Waste Management services to our customers (i.e. skip bins, wheelie bins, gantry bins, etc.)
Collecting customer payment
Using EFTPOS machines and handheld tablets
Providing friendly customer service
Conducting pre-start vehicle checks
Driving in a safe and lawful manner
To be successful in this role you must have:
A strong focus on Occupational Health and Safety
Outstanding communication skills with a friendly approach to customer service
An excellent work ethic and be flexible regarding work allocated
Possess the ability to drive a vehicle with care and respect (i.e. as if you personally own it)
Ideally have a minimum of 6 months experience driving a class 2 vehicle
Work rights for New Zealand
The ability to work autonomously
A good level of physical fitness and agility for manual handling tasks (up to 25kg)
Reliable transport to be able to get to and from work easily and on time
An interest in learning and wanting to develop a career in Transport
Be a team player
As a condition of employment, Drivers must be willing to undergo pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing as and when requested.
