Machine Operators (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Kilns, Boiler and Treatment Plant operations – Take the next step! Appealing working and living environment Based at our sawmill in Kerikeri (Bay of Islands) and reporting to the Kiln, Boiler & Treatment Plant Manager, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating our kilns, boilers and treatment plant for a wide range of timber products, while maintaining our quality standards to ensure our customer orders are delivered efficiently and on-time. Previous Kiln, Boiler, or Treatment experience in the timber industry would be ideal; we are also keen to hear from persons who may not have all three skill sets of experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES: Ensuring our boilers, kilns and CCA/MCA treatment plant are operated safely and efficiently. Ensuring safety and quality to efficiently build kiln charges, load/unload continuous dry kiln, and treatment plant cylinder. Delivering treated products to our retail, bulk dispatch, and roundwood yards. Achieving consistent quality kiln drying and CCA/MCA treatment schedules. Working cooperatively with our sawmill, roundwood and sales teams to ensure we meet our customer orders for on-time delivery. WE'RE LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT PERSON WHO HAS: Required: Previous forklift experience; does not have to be timber experience; must have a desire to learn and operate boilers, kilns and treatment plant. Desirable: Class three (3) boiler ticket, previous experience operating a boiler, kilns and/or CCA treatment plant, and valid forklift ticket with "F" Endorsement. You'll quickly appreciate how to manage your time and resources to achieve results. Shift pattern: Our kilns, boilers, and treatment plant operate 24/7. This is a day shift position, 12-hour shift from 5am – 5pm, 4 days on, 4 days off, and must be willing to work throughout Monday to Sunday. Requires some flexibility at times. This is a two-person shift team: first four days – operate kilns & boiler; the following four-day rotation – operate treatment plant.
