Salary range : $89,716 to $112,145 depending on skills and experience
Korero mo te Turanga - About the Role You will carry out verification activities in accordance with the current legislation and Overseas Market Access requirements, thereby permitting the issue of official assurances for export.
This is a diverse role, and you could be auditing several different sectors associated with animal products such as meat, dairy, seafood, and poultry.
Your key responsibilities will include :
Approving transfer of animal products through eligibility documents to provide final assurance for export of animal products.
Completing inspections of incoming animal products for further processing.
Managing your own time/calendar efficiently with the workload provided by the team leader.
You will report to the Hawkes Bay Team Leader. The role sits within the Verification Services Directorate. MPI Verification Services (MPI VS) provides a range of food safety verification and certification services to support market access strategies and setting standards.
Mou - About You To be successful in this role, you will have a science degree and experience within the food industry. Specifically, you will :
Have knowledge of the principles and practices associated with verification, Good Manufacturing Practices and Quality Assurance systems.
Have highly effective oral and written communication skills.
Have a full driver's licence and ability to drive Class 1 vehicles.
