We are in search of a committed and enthusiastic Trauma Quality Improvement Programme Coordinator to join our team. You will be playing a crucial role in delivering and maintaining our Trauma Quality Improvement Programme.About the ServiceIn your role as Trauma Quality Improvement Programme Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our Te Manawa Taki (Midland) Trauma Hub team. What we do matters – we are a network of devoted clinicians, researchers and technical data management staff, dedicated to ensuring the application of best practices in trauma care.Our clinical network is backed by a central hub service dedicated to assisting patients affected by physical injury, their families, and the wider community. As a team, we work tirelessly to ensure trauma patients receive the best care, regardless of when, where, or how the incidents occurred. We are trailblazers in trauma system development, having pioneered the first regional Level 1 trauma system in New Zealand.About youWe are on the lookout for a self-driven team player who thrives on teamwork and has a genuine passion for making a difference. The perfect candidate will shine in the areas listed in the position description.We require a person who has:Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in upholding Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.A clinical background with at least four years of experienceExcellent communication skills with the ability to write reports, design forms, retrieve data, speak effectively and support all levels of management, staff, and the communityExcellent organisational skills and detail-orientedA high level of computer and internet skills including but not limited to Windows and Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.Mathematical ability necessary to validate and analyse dataAbility to self-educate and develop a thorough knowledge of current trends in trauma quality improvement.If you have the proven experience and enjoy a challenge then this is the opportunity for you, and we want to hear from you!Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
