Rooney Earthmoving Ltd is a large family-owned South Island business with work bases in Invercargill, Oamaru, Waimate, Timaru, Ashburton and Christchurch. We have been around for over 45 years and have become a trusted, progressive brand in the civil construction industry.
Due to a vacancy and very busy workloads in 2024, we are recruiting for a permanent Transporter Driver to join our Timaru team.
If you have worked in civil contracting before, can communicate well, and have a good understanding of NZ transport regulations, you might be the one we are looking for. We value hard work and motivation in our team, and we expect you to be a good team player with a great attitude.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Minimum Class 5 Full clean Driver's License.
Experience in light and heavy transporting including chaining down equipment.
Qualification as a BESS.
Skilled at operating a wide range of construction machinery.
Self-motivated, organised and able to plan your own work.
