We are looking for an experienced Transportation Project Manager (Lead) who has significant relevant experience within Transportation. As Transportation Project Manager (Lead), you will provide a level of support that balances programmes to meet community needs and user needs whilst accommodating other requirements. Being an integral part of our Asset Management Team, you will be known for your quality of work and ability to deliver, you will also have a great sense of humor. This role is part of the Transportation Delivery Team and will work closely with our Professional Services Panel of Consultants.
The purpose of this position is to manage delivery of projects within the Transportation Team by supporting the delivery of the programme of works to meet the needs of Council, Consultants and Contractors in a manner that creates an enduring relationship by:

Project Management
Financial Management
Relationship Management
Technical Support

Ou wheako –about you
To be successful in this role you will have:

A minimum of 5-7 years relevant Civil Engineering experience. Local authority experience would be advantageous.

In particular you should have experience in:

Programming of civil engineering projects
Understanding of all aspects of Project Management
Project management - Project Planning, Scheduling and Management Experience
Financial Management
Contract Management
Working knowledge of quality systems and processes
Working knowledge of statutes relevant to the delivery of works provided by the Council
