Transportation Manager | Kaiwhakahaere Waka-tiaki Hauraki District Council | Listed 3 days ago Listing Description Location: Hauraki District Council Job Type: Full time Duration: Permanent Description Drive your career forward with an exciting opportunity to lead and optimize our transportation operations as our next Transportation Manager.
As the Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating various transportation projects and initiatives in accordance with Council's Goal Statement, General Objectives and Performance measures.
To succeed in this role you should possess the following: Bachelor of Engineering or Similar Proven 'Successful' Team Leadership skills along with the ability to foster a collaborative work environment is a must have.
Demonstrated project management skills with a successful track record of completing transportation projects on time and within budget.
Proven experience in transportation planning, Traffic engineering or related roles.
Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, policies and best practices.
Working knowledge of the principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi incorporating partnership obligations.
Proficiency in transport related software and tools (e.g., GIS) Understanding of sustainability principles in transport planning A valid current NZ Drivers Licence Hauraki District Council is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

The salary range for this role is between $140,000 and $157,000 per annum based on your relevant experience and competencies.
