Transport Supervisory Role

Transport Supervisory RoleITSS Engineering provides fabrication, welding and machining service to a variety of industries.Supervising a small team of engineers and apprentices for heavy vehicle and machiner y repairs your role will be to lead the workshop, managing the team to ensure work is completed in an efficient, timely and safe manner.You will work with our in-house heavy vehicle certifier liaising with customers to understand the job requirements, assign and oversee the work, ensuring work meets client expectations, regulatory requirements and deadlines.You will also look to identify any improvements in work processes and ensure the workplace follows best practice in terms of efficiencies and health and safety.To be considered for this role, you will:Be a trade qualified engineer with a minimum of 5 years' industry experience.Possess knowledge and experience of fabrication, welding, fitting for heavy transport engineering.Have strong communication skills – to deal staff and management.Be health and safety focused.Depending on applicant experience and career goals this can be a full-time workshop based hands-on role for an experienced Engineer or a split role with workshop/office based with training provided to become a heavy vehicle manufacture certifier.Perhaps you are a tradesperson with some supervisory experience looking for a leadership role, or maybe you are a Supervisor or Foreman wanting to advance your career.
