Transport Supervisor

Team Leaders/Supervisors (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)About the role:Reporting to the Operations Manager, we are currently looking for a Transport Supervisor to join our team in Christchurch. As a Transport Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and efficiently executing daily deliveries to customers in the South Island. Monday-Friday (8.30 am to 5.00 pm)Monitor and manage transport schedules to ensure timely delivery and pick-up of goods.Co-ordinate with drivers to ensure timely deliveries to customers.Liaise with Dispatch team and the client to understand delivery requirements and priorities.Create Run-Schedules to ensure client requirements are met whilst managing driver expectations and leave cover.Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.Troubleshoot & liaise with relevant parties in the event of unforeseeable incidents.For this role, you will have:Proven experience as a Supervisor preferably in the Transport industry.Strong knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards.Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.Excellent communication skills with multiple stakeholders.About the Company:We're Alexander Group, a well-established New Zealand family-owned specialist transportation and distribution solutions for hazardous and high-value goods.
