Te Whiwhinga mahi| The opportunity As a key member of the Transport Safety Leadership team, the Transport Safety & Partnerships Manager role includes strategical liaison with internal key stakeholders as well relationship building and outcomes planning across other agencies in order to meet the objectives of improving Safety across Tamaki Makaurau.
This role will work with AT's partners and key stakeholders to ensure the continued development of Vision Zero strategy and action plan for Tamaki Makaurau.
The position will require a high degree of technical direction, courageous leadership and exceptional influencing skills.
Responsibilities include: The daily management of the data workstream, including providing insights and intel to the business.Coordinate the governance framework for the Safety Programme including the Tamaki Makaurau Transport Safety Governance Framework.Lead the collation of inputs and reporting for Safety Investment Portfolio Steering Group, RLTP and SOI, GPS.Seeking opportunities to influence government policy around road safety.Meeting with key stakeholders to promote road safety in Auckland.Developing and managing the advocacy & stakeholder plan.As part of the Transport Safety, lead team to contribute to the development of the strategic direction of Transport Safety at AT.Working with the community transport team to support community based safety interventions.Na tau rourou | What will you bring? As well as having significant experience in a position like that of a Transport Safety and Partnerships Manager, we are also looking for someone who has:
Minimum 10 years' experience in a Road Safety Role.Prior experience engaging and partnering with senior stakeholders in local or central government.A relevant tertiary qualification related to Road Safety or related discipline.Thorough knowledge of the transport sector.Establishes and utilises effective systems for measuring and reporting.Demonstrated ability to build and lead a high performing team and influence others outside of direct reporting lines including senior leaders.Good understanding and appreciation of the workings and functions of local government, including current and future business drivers and statutory requirements.Excellent organisational and forward planning skills.Experienced in presenting to all levels within an organisation.Experience in a complex and dynamic operating environment, including the drive and resilience to lead proactively through ambiguity and change.At AT, we embrace inclusion and fully support building a diverse workplace where people come first and we feel safe, respected, valued and supported, inclusive of our differences.
