Due to current demands and a strong forward work outlook, along with our goal to build our national and local capacity in this area, we are seeking a passionate and talented Transport Planner to join our team, based in Tauranga.Our diverse range of projects, clients and opportunities will see you involved with future land uses and activities; multi-modal initiatives; district and spatial plans, shaping urban futures through place making, travel demand management and intelligent transport planning initiatives.At Boffa Miskell, you will work collaboratively with our local and national Transport Planning team and across multi-disciplinary project teams to actively contribute to projects that help shape communities. By building, maintaining and developing strong client relationships you will also be contributing to the strategic growth of our transport planning service offering by identifying and pursuing business opportunities with established and emerging clients. In addition, you'll help to support the delivery of our Transport Planning Strategy.About youWe're looking for candidates who are creative, collaborative, and innovative in their approach, and possess the following core skills and attributes:A relevant tertiary qualification (4 year minimum) in Transport Planning or related field.At least five – seven years' professional experience in transport planning and related fields, preferably with some of these years in a consultancy environment, enabling you to contribute to getting the right outcomes on projects.A highly-developed understanding of integrated transport planning – contemporary industry trends, principles, and challenges (local and overseas), policy linkages and drivers (climate change response, social, environmental, and economic).Experience delivering for public and private sector clients, transport and traffic planning expertise and a desire to learn, grow and develop.Are self-motivated and an independent thinker who can work autonomously as needed with an ability to research, investigate, comprehend and transact analytical conditions to establish a sound evidential basis to expert advice.Are connected to an established network of local industry contacts and knowledge of the national project planning, funding, and delivery environment.
