About this role To work with the Transport delivery team to ensure stable and reliable transport infrastructure networks and services are delivered that meet the current and future needs of the district.
Skills & Experience Minimum accredited three-year engineering degree (Level 7) e.g.
BE Technology (Civil) Minimum 10 years of practical experience in transport infrastructure networks management.
Good knowledge of local government processes.
Experience in process and systems management.
Demonstrated management experience in the effective delivery of medium to long term infrastructure management strategies.
Community culture/behaviour change experience.
Experience with RAMM.
A history of being someone who consistently delivers agreed performance outcomes and outputs.
Proven positive strategic relationship development and management with iwi and key stakeholders.
Proven thought leadership at a strategic level – ability to proactively assist in the direction of the organization.
An ability to work cross-organisation and cross-functional services and collaborate in a matrix structure.
Proven ability to work as part of a team with well-developed interpersonal and relationship engagement and management skills.
Proven inspirational leader and developer of high performing teams; high EQ.
Excellent problem solving skills, including exceptional conceptual and analytical ability; proven decision making skills and sound professional judgment.
Effective reporting skills; written and verbal presentation and communication skills.
Well organised with an ability to plan and prioritise important activities/tasks and meet agreed timeframes.
