K&S Freighters Ltd is a successful and growing company based out of Cambridge, Auckland, Mount Maunganui, and Christchurch. K&S Freighters Ltd is part of the wider K&S Corporation, which has been in operation for over 60 years.We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive individual to join our team as a Transport Coordinator, based at our Mount Maunganui site. We're looking for someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about the Transport Industry to coordinate the day-to-day dispatching and allocations of customer products in an accurate and efficient way. You will be dispatching linehaul/regional flatdeck steel units and bulk tipper units (woodchip, sawdust, bark products).This is a full-time role.Primary tasks will include:Manage the scheduling for customers and drivers, whilst utilising the correct fleet as required and running the fleet in an efficient manner.Ensure compliance and safety are positively approached within the workplace.Responding and liaising with customers to ensure a high standard of customer service is attained and assisting with any issues or complaints in a timely manner.Communicating and working cohesively with other Transport Coordinators and other internal and external parties.Ensuring the KSF Transport Management system and customer systems are maintained and kept up to date with accurate data entry, ensuring all jobs the company performs are being recorded.Assisting in following up on any outstanding incident, injury, or near miss reports.Answer phone calls and assist with phone queries.Providing backup support to other Transport Coordinators.The successful applicant will have the following:Knowledge of heavy transport legislation.Minimum 2+ years previous experience dispatching and scheduling trucks.
