About you Transport Company Manager and driver represents our business in the community. Therefore, we are looking for a proactive person with a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills. You are someone who enjoys the independence of working alone and have advanced communication and time management skills. Must have: Level 5 qualification in any discipline and 3 years previous business development experience is required A clean and valid class 2 New Zealand driving license Minimum 1 year truck driving experience .  Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Reasonable level of fitness. Clean Police vetting and ability to pass drug and alcohol screening tests. Advanced oral and written English communication skills. Availability to work early morning and over weekends regularly Beneficial to have: Fluency in Urdu Ability to manage websites and other social media platforms for online queries and business marketing campaigns. knowledge of South Island roads Job Description Job Title Transport Company Manager and driver Job Purpose As a Transport Company Manager and driver, you will be responsible for managing day to day business management, planning and operating vehicle and equipment compliant with NZTA and occupational health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and timely collection and delivery of goods . You will also engage with potential and existing clients to further grow the business. Working relationships You will directly report to the Directors of the business and liaise with the business's clients and other team members. Job tasks and responsibilities organising the purchase and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment and fuel. liaising with clients to determine requirements and providing customers with advice and information regarding rates for delivery of goods, obligations and handling complaints. receiving orders and bookings, and planning and implementing transportation schedules. ensuring goods are stored and transported in conditions that will maintain their quality. arranging collection and delivery of goods. maintaining business records and preparing operational statements and reports. ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. develop and run marketing campaigns. engage with clients to grow business. support drivers and drive truck time to time as required is part of this role. advertisement and marketing of business. engaging with clients and converting enquires into customers. Qualifications / Experience Minimum 3 years of previous business development and coordination experience (including working  with clients and converting enquiries into business) Minimum of clean and valid N ew Zealand class 2 driving license Minimum 1 year of experience in truck driving Ability in managing websites and other social media platforms for online queries and business marketing. Working conditions Availability to work early morning and over weekends regularly. Reasonable level of fitness as the role is highly physical and with long working hours.
