Transport Co-Ordinator Wanted

We are looking for an upbeat and experienced Dispatch Coordinator to help manage a fleet of 8 trucks for our scrap metal client. You will be the primary person interacting with customers and the drivers/yard staff to keep things running smoothly and on time! Ideally you are a positive person with great people skills and the ability to multi-task. This role requires top-notch customer service and being able to think on your feet when changes occur in order to meet customer expectations. Your primary responsibility is to manage the fleet of trucks and coordinate their dispatch for jobs, but it is also great if you have the ability to jump on the forklift to help load/unload the trucks from time to time. Although forklift experience is preferred, our client is mainly after the right personality for this position! This is a temporary position to be hired permanently after proving reliability and work ethic. $27-$32/hr + 8% holiday pay – Experience Dependent. Monday to Friday: 7am to 4:30pm. Work Duties Include: Managing a fleet of 8 trucks – allocating drivers etc. Liaising with customers to organize truck/hiab/trailers for collection. Interacting with drivers, support staff, yard staff to keep things running on time. Answering calls and emails. Organizing WOFs, services, registration & cleaning of trucks. Vehicle inspections. Forklift operation – Only if you are licensed/experienced. About you: MUST have great customer service. Experience with dispatch and trucks preferred.
