T&G Fresh has been nourishing generations of Kiwis with fresh fruit and vegetables for over 125 years.
Our domestic operations in New Zealand span the entire supply chain—growing, packing, marketing, selling, distributing, and exporting produce from our own orchards and farms, as well as from over 600 Kiwi growers.
At the heart of this operation is our transport business, which plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless delivery of fresh produce from farm to retailers, delivering the quality and freshness our customers trust.About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to combine your skills in business development, account management, and sales to strengthen and grow our transport operations in the South Island.The role is perfect for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys being out on the road rather than tied to a desk.
With plenty of travel across the South Island, you'll spend your days meeting customers face-to-face, building relationships, and exploring new opportunities.
If you love the idea of being hands-on, visiting growers, packhouses, and retailers, and taking charge of your own schedule, this role offers the freedom and autonomy you've been looking for.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain strong relationships with current customers, expanding business opportunities and share of wallet.Prospect, research, and secure new customers through innovative strategies.Create and execute a call cycle, traveling to meet customers face-to-face.Manage your territory with autonomy, balancing office days and customer visits.Understand revenue, costs, and margins to ensure profitable operations.Present solutions and value propositions to customers confidently, supported by data.About You:We're looking for someone who enjoys building genuine relationships.
Ideally, you'll bring a sales background in transport or produce, or have experience in general freight operations.
