Transport Admin Assistant

About the role Data entry of departmental passenger and fleet records daily. Assist with managing the daily run sheets and communicating this to the wider team. Prepare newsletters, emails, reports, presentations, manuals etc. as directed. Manage the uniform and radio allocation, return and repair. Assist the Team Leaders with managing levels of fatigue throughout the team. Prepare, coordinate, and minute meetings for the Transport Manager. Assist with the management of transport queues when busy. Provide accurate and genuine information to all stakeholders. Identification and reporting of hazards to the leadership team. Take responsibility of all equipment and uniform that is allocated to them. Additional responsibilities in this role include daily operational administrative support for the department as well as being flexible enough to lend a hand, wherever it is required. About You A strong administrative background (ideally in the transport industry) including excellent keyboard skills, a professional phone manner and exceptional organisational ability. Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word) The ability to engage and build a rapport with guests and staff quickly. Proven experience in working autonomously along with sound decision-making skills. Any other transport or customer experience would be considered an advantage. At least 2 years administrative experience with a proven commitment to accurate reporting. Willingness and flexibility to assist in other areas of the department as required. An understanding that employment is subject to the vagaries of the weather and the hours of work cannot be guaranteed.
