Reporting to the Head of Wastewater, the Transmission Manager - Wastewater is responsible for providing management and engineering support for transmission wastewater assets across the Auckland region.
This includes the transmission networks and other critical assets.
The key responsibilities of this role include: Leading the team to undertake asset operational assessment, maintenance planning and assessment, and customer support for all aspects of the wastewater transmission assets.
Managing operational budgets and the development of Asset Management Plan initiatives.
Responsible for all reactive activity on wastewater transmission assets and manage effective after-hours support for wastewater transmission activity.
Oversee the design and development of engineering standards and specifications for wastewater transmission to be adhered to by the organisation and its suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
Oversee teams undertaking inspections to evaluate the quality and integrity of complex, large-scale wastewater transmission structures and installations.
Plan and manage large and complex maintenance and repair projects to deliver work to cost, time, and quality standards.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: Experience in contract management and customer relationships Excellent verbal, written communication and reporting skills Proven ability to lead a field-based team and interact with contractors Comfortable at managing customer issues and contact Knowledge in Control Systems and Incidence Response Background in water or wastewater operations Tertiary Engineering qualification.
