Job Description As a Transmission Lines Engineer , you will be involved in many aspects of the design process of transmission lines, including modelling of new and existing alignments, and the design of structures and foundations, for projects ranging from 33 kV to 500 kV throughout Aotearoa NZ and Australia.
What will a day in this role look like?
Performing concept and detailed design of new and existing transmission lines using PLS-CADD, for a diverse range of clients across Aotearoa NZ and Australia Assessing and designing of new and existing steel tower structures and pole structures using tools such as Excel, PLS-TOWER and PLS-POLE Assessing and designing of structure foundations – including grillage, direct-embed and pile foundations, Preparing design reports Conducting site visits and inspections as required Qualifications What are we looking for from you?

University degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) 2-5 years transmission lines industry experience Proficient in using PLS-CADD or similar transmission lines software packages Excellent organisational, communication, and technical writing skills Self-motivated with a strong desire to progress career Site experience/experience in projects being constructed is an advantage You will have access to genuine career progression opportunities, with ongoing support to help you advance in either a technical or project management pathway.
Additionally, there will be opportunities for secondments to other areas of AECOM, as well as to client or site offices.
