Transmission/Component Rebuild Specialist Full-time MIMICO is a New Zealand owned family business established in 1989 as an indent parts supplier based in Matamata, and is the New Zealand distributor for a wide range of quality, world class modern heavy machinery. MIMICO sells, hires and services heavy machinery for the quarrying, mining, contracting, construction, recycling and forestry industries. MIMICO is seeking a skilled Transmission/Component Rebuild Specialist to join our Matamata team. In this role, you will be responsible for disassembling, diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding complex mechanical components, including transmissions, gearboxes, torque converters and other related systems. This position requires mechanical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision to ensure the highest quality repairs and rebuilds. Key Responsibilities include: Disassemble and inspect transmissions, gearboxes, torque converters and other mechanical components to identify wear, damage, and root cause of failure Clean, repair, and replace damaged or worn parts using appropriate tools, techniques, and machinery Rebuild transmissions and components according to manufacturer specifications, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and assess component performance Interpret and follow technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics to ensure correct assembly and functionality Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment Communicate effectively with the service team and provide detailed reports on repairs and rebuilds Ensure adherence to safety standards and compliance with industry regulations Test rebuilt components to confirm functionality and performance prior to installation To be successful in this position, you will have: Proven experience in transmission and mechanical component repair and rebuilding Knowledge of transmission systems, gearboxes, and related mechanical components Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and in a team environment Basic computer skills for reporting and diagnostics Prior experience operating lathes Apply today to bring your skills to MIMICO and help us achieve excellence in every rebuild! #J-18808-Ljbffr
