An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic team in the IOC on a permanent basis. As a Transit Care nurse you will be assessing and providing essential acute clinical care to high risk patients whilst attending them to various locations across the Wellington District, as well as off-site radiology.
The Transit Care Team is a close group of skilled RN's, providing an essential service to the organisation. We build collegial relationships with many specialities across the Te Whatu Ora Wellington sites and the team is trusted and respected throughout all clinical areas for their input and support of patients well being and health outcomes.
This role provides you with the opportunity to work with a level of autonomy in organising your day, with the use of the Smart Page booking system in discussion with clinical areas, your team members, DNM's and the Transit ACNM. You will be supported with on-going educational opportunities through the PDRP to enhance your knowledge, keep up to date with evidence based practice and support you to promote accepted standards of practice within the organisation.
Transit Care operates Monday to Friday 0800 – 1700 with an alternating 08.30 start time.
