You'll ensure smooth project operations, manage administration and reporting including regular Steering Committee packs and workstream reporting, and monitor all internal scheduling and progress against deadlines.In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and project teams to drive progress, manage risks, and ensure resources are effectively utilized.
You will act as a central point of coordination, ensuring communication and alignment across all areas of change.

We are looking for someone with a rounded approach to project management, ensuring integration between the business and technology.Just some of the things you're responsible for:Manage the Project plan for our Transformation Programme, which includes the project, scope, timelines, reporting, and communication.Ensure alignment with MTF strategy and track progress against key milestones, outcomes, and quality standards.Collaborate cross-functionally with teams and key stakeholders to drive Programme success, including preparing governance packs and steering committee updates to ensure the Programme has visibility.Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues across the Programme scope, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.Conduct Change Impact Assessments to identify the impact of changes on various groups within MTF and develop tailored strategies to address specific needs.You'll need:To be a seasoned project manager professional with experience in driving change within organisations, and that can hit the ground running!Relevant degree or qualification or has >10 years in Financial Services.A comprehensive understanding of transformation delivery methodologies and processes within operations or technology project management.Relevant recognised methodology qualification or certification (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2, PROSCI) and proven success applying methodology throughout a strategic project or initiative.Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate, guide, organise and maintain momentum with cross-functional teams.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.Strong financial acumen with proven success managing budgeting, forecasting and cost communication processes.Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and a focus on delivering business outcomes.What you'll receive in return:We're a New Zealand business on a mission to be New Zealand's favourite finance company, and we're proudly based in Dunedin.We share our success with our team - our incentive schemes are based on both individual and business outcomes.A dynamic and collaborative culture with a central and modern office space and a team who enjoy working together and are proud to be MTFers.A supportive and vibrant culture where our people work together to deliver on our commitments.Plenty of development opportunities, coaching and support.Competitive remuneration package which includes fully funded medical insurance, performance incentives, and flexible leave options and benefits.The opportunity to progress your career in Dunedin.
