Workplace Training & Assessment (Education & Training) We're looking for people who want to make a difference on the East Coast. This is your opportunity to play a part in a significant project, work among experienced leaders and progress your career.A little bit about us - We are the Transport Rebuild East Coast (TREC). This alliance has been set up to plan, organise and deliver much of the recovery and rebuild work needed on the highway and rail networks, together with local businesses and contractors across Te Tairawhiti (Gisborne) and Te Matau a Maui (Hawke's Bay).Our alliance members include Waka Kotahi, KiwiRail, Downer, Fulton Hogan, and Higgins. We are now looking for experienced Training & VOC Assessors to join the teams, across both Napier and Gisborne. Within this role, you will manage and deliver effective training programs and facilitate the TREC Verification or Competency (VOC) program across all Plant, Equipment and Operators working on TREC worksites.You will be a key player in assessing capability gaps, people skill competency, training implementation, refreshers, and evaluation of programmes, as well as supporting all VOC requirements, strategies, and initiatives across the TREC Alliance.What we need from you:Proficient and highly experienced in training & development, evaluation, training management systems, and assessment of Health and Safety related programs and coursesCertificate or higher qualification in Training and Assessment is desirable.Significant experience in either Construction, Mining, Forestry, Agriculture or similar area highly desirableStrong mechanical aptitude or significant Plant operator experienceAdvanced facilitation Competency.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Experience in working with people of diverse and inclusive backgrounds.Prior experience in a Health and Safety role - desirableExperience with Risk Assessment principles and application.Knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards applying to Health and Safety and Assessment Frameworks.If you are interested, and would like to learn more, please submit your cv and you will be contacted for a confidential chat.We'll be needing more people as the project work develops so reach out if you have an interest in joining TREC in the future.
