Job Overview Newly created role to lead the NTS training.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Wellington.
The National Ticketing Solution (NTS) is a single ticketing solution for public transport (bus, rail, and ferry) across New Zealand through collaboration between Public Transport Authorities (PTAs) and Waka Kotahi.
The solution will be a next generation, single, national, public transport ticketing and payment solution that will transform the customer experience and create a flexible, modern, fit-for-purpose system.
Transport Ticketing and Payments (TTP) is a shared services function established within NZTA to deliver the National Ticketing Solution on behalf of the NTS Participants (PTAs and TOs).
It will be managed by NZTA, with oversight from a central governance board representing all NTS public transport partners.
The TTP function will provide: Day-to-day management of the National Ticketing Solution (NTS) operations, including support for Public Transport Agencies (PTAs).
Management of supplier contracts and relationships (Cubic, Mastercard, Activata, ASB, and OneNZ).
Support for ticketing and payment queries for customers using the NTS.
Assurance for the overall integrity of the NTS and the provisions of the Partnership Agreement (P2) between the NTS partners.
Te Whiwhinga mahi - The Opportunity The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the design and delivery of the TTP Training portfolio to ensure the right capabilities are in place across all NTS Participants to support the National Ticketing Solution (NTS) and that PCI compliance requirements are met.
The role also has change management responsibilities including the ongoing development and delivery of innovative learning solutions in line with NTS future releases, and in partnership with TTP external providers and the Public Transport Authorities - supporting the behavioural change required of training participants through different avenues including training.
This role closely partners with the Learning and Organisational Development leaders across the PTAs and NZTA to ensure a cohesive, national approach to all TTP learning which focuses on achieving key outcomes for all NTS Participants.
Ko koe tenei - About You As well as your leadership attributes, you will need to bring your 'know how': Specialist knowledge in organisational learning and development.
Solid understanding of adult learning principles, concepts and techniques and experience putting these into practice to support the achievement of organisational outcomes.
Knowledge of all channels and methods of learning delivery.
Up to date knowledge of developments in learning and development and Organisational Development.
Proven experience in developing and leading strategic initiatives.
Demonstrated experience in people change management, using change management methodologies and successfully implementing change.
Demonstrated consulting and relationship management experience at operational leadership levels.
Experience working in partnership with senior management and leadership within a customer-facing business, demonstrating leadership and credibility.
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori.
You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
