Trainee/Phlebotomist – South and East AucklandCasualAbout the company | Mo MatouAwanui Labs - Auckland (Previously known as Labtests) has been providing pathology services to the Auckland community since August 2009. We recognize the importance of highly qualified staff, inspired leadership together with advanced information technology and automation to achieve service excellence.Our Phlebotomists are fully trained to provide excellent customer service and high-quality care to our patients. This is a busy role, with our team processing up to 7,000 patient specimens over a day, working from our 56 collection rooms across Auckland. Our collection centres are open during Monday to Friday, 8 hours shifts between 7 am to 7 pm and Saturdays between 8 am to 12 pm.Multiple casual roles available for South and East Auckland.Your working hours will be on a rostered basis during our normal working hours.The key tasks include blood collection, handling contained specimens (i.e., human blood, feces, and tissue), and preparing specimens for transportation.Provide professional customer service, serving as a link between health professionals, their patients, and the laboratory.Previous Phlebotomy experience is not essential as long as you have:A positive and friendly approach to your work, demonstrating cultural and social sensitivity.Compassion for others, including a real desire to provide high-quality care to a wide variety of patients of all ages and circumstances.Excellent customer service skills, including a high level of personal presentation.Strong attention to detail and an ability to follow processes accurately, even under pressure.A reliable transport and full Driver's license.Eligibility to work in NZ.What's in it for you | Nou te rourouA friendly and supportive team environment.On-the-job training.A pathway of learning while you work and build your career in the Medical Pathology services.Access to EAP and Health & Wellbeing program.An opportunity to contribute towards the health of Tamaki Makaurau | Auckland.We will review applications as received; the vacancies may close before the closing date, don't delay, apply now!
