* Develop your career as a Trainee Cardiac Sonographer * Fixed term, 40 hours a week (1.0 FTE) opportunity until December 2026. Earn while you learn- Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora will pay all training costs. Mō te tūnga | About the Role As a Trainee Cardiac Sonographer, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a tertiary hospital. In this trainee position you will develop the knowledge and skills to perform echocardiograms make measurements and write the provisional report. We will support you over two years to complete an Auckland based qualification in echocardiography Ko wai koe | About You In this role, you will be responsible for: * Attending the Auckland based education programme. * As a trainee Cardiac Sonographer, you will learn to perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms and exercise echocardiograms. * In your second year of training you will be expected to be scanning independently and contributing to the afterhours call roster * Te Whatu Ora will pay all training costs, and for two years will support you to undertake the PGD through University of Auckland. This course is distance-based learning.
