About the Role
As a Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing traffic management plans (TMPs) and engaging in project discussions to ensure safety, compliance, and quality in all traffic management activities. You will collaborate closely with project managers, temporary traffic management teams, and other stakeholders to implement best practices and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and review TMPs to provide adequate working space, conduct TTM audits, and manage temporary works planning.
Implement environmental controls and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
Assist in developing management procedures for critical TTM issues, monitor project milestones, and ensure quality standards are met.
Assist in construction planning, cost-effective solutions, and subcontractor management.
Share knowledge with team members, provide training, and conduct performance reviews of TMPs.
Identify and communicate with stakeholders, ensuring project protocols are followed and critical activities are well notified.
Key Requirements
Relevant engineering degree (BE Tech or BE).
Strong understanding of COPTTM and NZGTTM, TTM field expertise, and ability to manage a program of works.
Proficient in preparing Traffic Management Diagrams (TMDs) using AutoCAD or RapidPlan, and solid understanding of road safety engineering principles.
Effective communication, problem-solving, composure under pressure, customer focus, and a commitment to continuous learning.
