This role is part of the Wellington Transport Alliance (WTA).
The WTA is a partnership between Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Fulton Hogan and WSP.
Commenced 1 July 2023, WTA is responsible for managing the maintenance and operations programme for the state highways and roading networks of the Greater Wellington Region, and for delivering high service standards to the people and roading network of the region.Join us as a Traffic Controller in an exciting alliance environment!As a Traffic Controller, you will assist with the traffic management on site, ensuring a strong commitment to safety.
You will assist with site set up, manage the safe flow of traffic around the work site.In addition to the above you will:Assist with temporary traffic management on various worksites in line with current codes of practice, involving setting up worksites, operating stop/go signs, putting up signs and cones outEffectively communicate with the work site STMS/foremen to ensure smooth operationIdentify and eliminate hazards as per hazard identification sheetFollowing all safety, environment and quality process for the jobLooking after the safety of yourself and people around you, 'push pause' when needed, never carryout a task when the safety of yourself and others is at riskGood Work equals Good Benefits Medical insurance for you and your whanau.
