We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Tradesperson to join the Reduction Maintenance Team at New Zealand's Aluminium Smelter.

Joining our Tiwai whanau as a Mechanical Tradesperson, you'll report to our Crew Leader and Superintendent team.
This position will operate on our Roster 3 shift, Monday to Friday working alternate weeks of 8am-4pm and 4pm-12am.
You'll follow a structured process to optimise preventative maintenance tactics and minimise overall business costs.
With a demonstrated commitment to improving safety, cost and productivity, responsibilities include: Identify and conduct planned and unplanned repair and diagnostic work within production time constraints on a wide variety of equipment Promote and identify HSE opportunities to improve equipment, processes and behaviours Add value through identifying and implementing improvement initiatives and applying robust defecting elimination practices Manage your workload and act as a point of contact on jobs Continue to develop and improve how you work What you'll bring You'll have excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in both autonomous and team-based work.
