New Zealand's Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) are looking for a trade-qualified Tradesperson Electrical to join our Reduction Maintenance team. The successful candidate will join the Monday – Friday Roster 3 shift pattern. This shift comprises of a 2 week rotation, working day shift 8am – 4pm for the first week and 4pm to 12am the second week. Every hour of every shift, your safety and wellbeing is our number one priority. Reporting to our Crew Leaders and Superintendent, you'll join our close-knit, proud and hardworking teams following a structured process to optimise preventative maintenance tactics and minimise overall business costs. With a demonstrated commitment to improving safety, cost and productivity, responsibilities include: Performs maintenance tasks. Identifies defects and provide feedback on asset performance and health raising notifications and competing work orders. Supports the defect elimination process and contributes to the work management analysis. Ensures work management activities are undertaken in line with work order/job instructions. Undertakes post maintenance equipment commissioning and clean-up. Your unwavering commitment to the safety of yourself and your team will see you promote and identify HSE opportunities to improve equipment, processes and behaviours. You will have opportunity to utilise your strong problem-solving skills to add value through identifying and implementing improvement initiatives and applying robust defecting elimination practices. What you'll bring You'll have excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in both autonomous and team-based work. Your curious mind will have you self-motivated, with the desire to learn and demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
