Maintenance Trades Assistant & Hot Work Permit Issuer – Night Shift Located 5 minutes south of Rotorua CBD, Red Stag Timber is an industry leader in producing quality structural timber products. An opportunity has arisen for a fulltime Trades Assistant / Hot Work Permit Issuer to join our Maintenance team on the Night shift working Monday to Thursday 5.30pm – 3.00am. Additional hours may be required during busy periods with rostered dayshift hours during the Maintenance shut periods.
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator for Secondary Processing, this is a hands-on position, which will work alongside our Night Shift Maintenance Fitters and Mechanical contractors. This role will operate our Pegasus Telehandler, issue hot work permits, be a fire watch, and assist in preventative maintenance, machinery greasing, and other light maintenance work.
The successful candidate will ideally be experienced in operating mobile plant, preferably within a construction or heavy industrial environment. Experience in hot work processes and permit issuing will be an advantage.
To be successful, you will ideally have the following skillset, experience, and other attributes:
