Thank you for your interest in this position.We have received your application from Indeed, so the first step of your application is complete.To finish your application we will email you further details.We are currently looking for a Trades Assistant to join our Ironmaking Team.What you will be doingReporting to the Plant Maintenance Engineer, the main function of this role will be to support the mechanical trades group in the Ironmaking plant.This is a 12-month Fixed Term position within a well-established team who pride themselves on implementing innovative solutions to ensure quality outcomes are achieved.Your day-to-day duties will include:Monitoring plant and equipment conditionIdentifying, planning, and performing maintenance and repair workFailure investigation and fault findingThis is a Monday – Friday 8-hour days position however some overtime may be required.What you will bring to the roleTo be successful in this role you will need to have a strong team focus, excellent communication skills and an uncompromising attitude to safety.Other key skills and experience include:A mechanical maintenance background with fitting experienceGood communication skills, written and verbalThe ability to work efficiently within a team environmentA good work ethicAn uncompromising attitude to safetyWhat we can offerBeing part of the BlueScope brand makes us a strong and successful global company offering connections throughout the world and providing access to resources and tools from the wider business.
