Trade & Technical Manager - Account/Business DevelopmentOur client, a leading importer and supplier within the commercial flooring space, is looking for an Account Manager / Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team.They are very passionate about what they do, in everything from quality of product to service delivery.

This role is primarily Auckland based and will consist of 50% of your time in the office, and 50% on the road.Key tasks:Pro-actively build and maintain excellent relationships including those within trade accounts, internal sales, and project management teams.Ensure all commercial projects are tracked and specified through the system to order stage.Maintain call cycles, ensuring customers are serviced with timely and frequent visits.Present and educate customers on new products and specifications.Ensure oversight of existing projects, stock, delivery schedules, and keep contractors and customers updated as things progress.About you:You will be driven by building outstanding relationships and understand the importance of persistence, follow-up, and picking up the phone.
We are looking for someone who enjoys talking to customers and who would rather be in front of a customer than behind a desk.With a great understanding of how to build relationships, how to sell a solution, and how to manage existing accounts, you will have previous sales or account management experience, take pride in your proactive nature, and enjoy relationship sales.
